- <p> DIED. ALICE TULLY, 91, arts patron; in New York City. For 14
- years, beginning with her professional debut in 1927, Tully
- pursued a career as a classical vocalist. But her greatest impact
- on the arts began in the late '50s, when she inherited her mother's
- fortune and emerged as a leading art philanthropist, contributing
- to the Martha Graham Dance Company, the Metropolitan Museum
- of Art and, most famously, the recital hall at New York City's
- Lincoln Center that bears her name.
